Anderson, Cathy Arlene passed away peacefully February 16, 2009 at the Tom Baker Cancer Center at Calgary at the age of 45 years.
Cathy was born in Pincher Creek, Alberta on March 23, 1963 where she began life on a cattle ranch. Cathy and her family later moved to Calgary where she completed her education. She trained to become a cook and worked throughout Southern Alberta. Cathy met Larry Chase while living in Strathmore. The couple became a three person family when their son Michael was born. They later moved south and settled in Champion where Cathy operated a restaurant. The family made a move to Vulcan where Cathy became a popular cook at the Vulcan Community Health Centre.
Cathy was a very upbeat, positive and social person, making many friends wherever she lived and worked. She loved spending time with friends and family especially while camping.
Many thanks go to the caring staff to both Vulcan Community Health Centre (both short term and extended care units) and the Tom Baker Cancer Center – Unit 57.
