Alan is an example of what we all should strive for. The respect Alan received from fellow Farmers/Ranchers , friends and family is something many of us could only dream for.

We met in 2005 for the first time shortly after i Married Sandy’s sister Shari soon to become Alan’s sister in law. My brother in law always had a smile and always expressed great interest in where life’s paths took Shari and i over the past 20 years.
Alan is missed as is my Shari who passed on March 28 2024.
Shari went ahead and I know they are at peace .

The love Alan always displayed for Sandy and the family is an example i will strive to duplicate in what ever years lie ahead.

When Alan and I first met in Vulcan he took me to his Farm that he recently sold. He showed me a pile of rocks that he had accumulated over the years clearing the land.

These rocks have been used in projects in the community and live on as a testament of the type of person Alan was.

Alan you are dearly missed but certainly not forgotten. RIP.

My sincere sympathy goes out to Sandy and all of Allan’s family at this sad time. I have known Allan all of my life and he was one of the finest men I have ever known … a true gentleman! An exceptional farmer, Allan was a hard working man who always supported our community and who was an important part of The Armada, Lomond and Vulcan Districts for many decades! I will always remember with great pleasure my visits with Allan … in the field … on the street … in my home … and most recently in The Vulcan Extendicare. Allan lived to what is generally referred to as “a ripe old age” and enjoyed a very good life but still will be greatly missed by his family and friends!
