
The Family of Robert William Barry Campbell wish to announce the peaceful passing of Barry at the Vulcan Community Health Centre at the age of 83.
Robert William Barry Campbell was born June 17, 1941 in Vulcan, Alberta. Barry was the eldest son of Bill and Carolyn Campbell. He grew up on the Campbell homestead 6 miles southeast of Mossleigh. He went to school in Mossleigh until grade 11 and completed grade 12 in Vulcan. Following High School, he attended Olds College.
In 1966, he married Helen Auestad from Milo and they rented a place west of the Corner Store. They moved to their current farm, 2.5 miles east of the Corner Store in 1973 where Barry resided until he went to the Vulcan Hospital in February 2025. Together Barry and Helen raised two children, Christine and Craig, Barry’s true loves in life were his family and his farm. He enjoyed various trips with friends and family throughout the years.
Barry is survived by his wife, Helen, brother David (Julie), brother-in-law Gordon Will, his two children, Christine (Dallas) Andres, Craig (Tanya) Campbell and 5 grandsons; Adam and Brett Andres, Joel, Owen and Lane Campbell as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Bill and Carolyn Campbell, sister Dora Will, brother John Campbell, brother-in-law Ralph Auestad, sisters-in-law Laureen Auestad and Norien Campbell and nephew Allan Auestad.
Memorial tributes in Barry’s memory can be made to Parkinsons Canada or Vulcan Community Health Center- Palliative Care Unit.
A celebration of life for Barry will be held at the Vulcan United Church on Monday April 14, 2025, at 2:00 PM.
