The family of Patrick Garland of Champion, beloved husband of Sandra, are saddened to announce his passing at Lethbridge Regional Hospital on November 10, 2024 at the age of 77 years.
Pat was born September 11, 1947 at Brant, ON. He worked for the County of Vulcan for approximately 20 years as a Grader Operator and loved to meet and visit with the locals. Pat enjoyed camping and fishing, especially participating in the Badger Lake Ice Fishing Derby. His favorite pastime was watching his favorite hockey team, the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Besides his loving wife Sandra, Pat is survived by his sister Shirley (Bob) Cronin of Kitchener, ON, brother Gary (Earlene) Garland of Walkerton, ON and sister-in-law Carol Garland of Sylvania, SK. and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his son Alexander Williams of Calgary, AB, step-sons Aaron (Leslie) Kochie of Pincher Creek, AB, Treavor (Charlotte) Schlosser of High River, AB and Michael (Naomi) Schlosser of Calgary, AB. He was predeceased by his parents Allan and Margaret (Hetzler) Garland, infant brother Jim Garland, sister Joan Johnson, all of Cargill, ON and his brother Bob Garland of Sylvania, SK.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, December 13, 2024 at 2 pm at the Vulcan Legion Hall, Sue MacDonald, D.M. officiating. Family Inurnment Champion Cemetery.
