The family of Sheila Brown are deeply saddened to announce her passing on August 7, 2024 at her home in Vulcan, at the age of 91 years.

My late mother, Helen Selwyn, was a lifelong friend of Sheila’s and considered her the sister she never had. They met as toddlers in London, Ontario and remained good friends until her own passing. Sheila was so fun to be around. I can still remember her laughter. To Stephen & Marilyn, Patricia, Eleanor ( ” G-Nomie’) and Ross, and Eric & Michelle and families, my sincerest condolences. She was such a treasure. I am hoping that Helen and Sheila are already giggling together once again.

My mother, Lola Findlay, fondly nicknamed Sheila “Mrs Purple”, as our family knew several Mrs Browns. This way we knew which Mrs Brown she was talking about. To me, “Mrs Purple” was the friendliest woman with a great sense of humor. She’d laugh when we’d greet her as Mrs Purple when our paths crossed downtown ☺️ She had personality! Her smiling face and cheery nature will be missed, and lovingly remembered.

Stephen, Patricia, Eleanor, Eric & families,

Please accept my most heartfelt sympathies at this very sad time for the loss of your beloved mother and grandmother, Sheila.

I will always cherish and hold tight all the fond memories of going to visit Ervin & Sheila along with Stephen, Patricia, Eleanor & Eric with my mom, dad & brother back when we were all farm neighbours. Sheila was always so kind and a very sweet lady whenever I was there and I will fondly remember her kindred spirit. May your Mom now enjoy the light and love of God.

Wishing you all the strength to face the days ahead and wonderful memories to cherish forever. Sending love and prayers to all of you.

    With deepest condolences,

    Karen

I wish to pass along our heartfelt condolences and deepest sympathies on behalf of the Bellis Family (John & Nancy). We moved to Vulcan in 1992 and were neighbours with Sheila, Ervin and family for years.

We have very fond memories of those times and especially of Sheila as she became very close with our mother Nancy. Sheila was a very bubbly, outgoing, kind and generous soul, always curious about how things were going in our lives. We had some great meals together and enjoyed each others company. She will be dearly missed.

Love from the Bellis family (John, Nancy, Dylan, Guto, Aled & Luned).
