GLEN BRIAN FISHER October 23, 1936 – August 6, 2022
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Glen Fisher after a brief battle with cancer at the age of 85.
“Don’t be sad for me for I am no longer in pain and am now reunited with my beloved wife Dale in heaven. We can now be together to watch over our family and dear friends.”
Always willing to help a neighbor out with either driving them to appointments or coffee, cleaning snow from their driveway or mowing lawns. Although getting to drive the equipment needed to do those jobs always gave him joy and purpose as well as helping a neighbor.
Pre-deceased by his loving wife and light Dale, Glen leaves behind his daughters: Rhonda (Ron) of Medicine Hat, AB, Tammy (Stewart) Joggins, Nova Scotia, Tracy (Raleigh) of Gleichen, AB and Joanne (Ken) of Carbon, AB; His Sons: Terry of Swan River, MB, Randy (Maggie) of Calgary, AB, and Ron (Liz) of Calgary, AB, 15 Grandchildren and 16 Great Grandchildren (more coming soon!)
A Celebration of Life will be held for Glen at his son Ron’s home in Calgary, AB on Saturday, September 3rd at 2:00 pm. Please RSVP to: (403) 612-0660 if you would like to attend and the address will be given.
Glen will be placed to rest with his wife on Sunday, September 4th at 2:00 pm. A small committal will be held at the Vulcan Cemetery for anyone wanting to pay their last respects as well.

I’m so saddened to hear of Mr. Fisher‘s passing. He was my mom Evelyn‘s neighbourhood Besty and one of the biggest hearted people I’ve met. My mom and Glenn often shared a coffee, curbside visits with Mandy, a trip downtown Vulcan or a lunch of A & W teen burgers. Further, they shared acts of kindness like lawnmowing and baking and simply looking out for each other. Our thoughts and prayers are with Glenn’s family and friends. Rest in peace Mr. Fisher. The neighbourhood will never be the same! XO Sandy, Ian , and Evelyn
