Love, Marjorie (Evans), beloved wife of 67 years of the Late Frank Love, passed away on May 1, 2022 at the age of 89 years.
Marjorie was born November 23, 1932 on the family homestead of Casswallen and Ethel Evans near Strachan, AB. She was one of ten children.
After moving to the Berrywater area for work, Marjorie met, fell in love with and married Frank Love in 1951. They moved to the Love family farm where they farmed together for 67 years before poor health forced them to move into Vulcan.
Marjorie was an active farm wife and community member. She farmed side by side with Frank while raising their family. She was a Sunday School teacher, baseball coach, member of the Berrywater Women of Unifarm, avid gardener and flower grower, 4-H mom, active member and supporter of the community, local events and gatherings. She loved music and flowers but most of all, she loved Frank and her family. Marjorie loved having her family around her and they always brought a smile to her face. She was proud of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Marjorie is survived by her son Wayne (Judy; Alisha and Tanner, Lane and Cassidy); her daughter Joanne (Ian; Chris and MaryEllen, Wyatt and Morgan; Lisa and Tim, Tristan, Dustin and Taylor; Brady and Dave and Briar); and son Kevin (Suzy; Jason and Alyssa, Madelyn and Libby; Katelyn and Lynn, Remy; Robert and Carleen, Felix); a sister Laura Nodeland and numerous nieces and nephews. Marjorie was predeceased by her parents, 8 brothers and sisters, her husband Frank and her son David.
Marjorie suffered a lot in the last few years of her life but her family takes comfort in knowing that her suffering is over and she is reunited with Frank and David.
A Come and Go Memorial Tea will be held at the Berrywater Community Center (232034 Twp Rd 182) on Thursday, May 19, 2022 from 1 to 4 pm. All are welcome to come and share memories of Marjorie.
