LaRee (Causey) Jones took her last earthly breath and graduated to heaven on Wednesday, the 23rd of June, 2021 in Langley, BC.
She was born August 9th, 1943 in Carmangay, Alberta and was raised in the Village of Champion, Alberta by her parents, Dave and Louretta Causey. She was also very close to pioneers of the village, great grandfather Martin Clever as well as grandparents Fred and Oma Clever.
LaRee took her schooling at the University of Calgary and started teaching school in 1963. She married Skip Jones (now deceased) the same year.
LaRee will be missed beyond measure by her three precious children: Angela (Parm) in Surrey, B.C.; Lisa (Jeff) McLaughlin in Lakewood, WA; and Leroy (Liberty) in Langley, BC. She also leaves to mourn, her cherished grandson, Gavin (17), son of Parm and Angela. LaRee is also survived by two grandchildren, Autume (26) in Grande Prairie, Alberta and Aiden (21) in Lethbridge, Alberta, son and daughter of Leroy.
At LaRee’s request, there will be no formal funeral service. A small family graveside service will take place in the Champion Cemetery.

I am so sad to hear about LaRee’s passing. She will always be remembered by me as an incredible and caring grade 1 teacher. I am sending all thoughts and prayers her to family.
