ESKELAND, CLIFFORD HAROLD OF LOMOND, AB, PASSED AWAY AT THE VULCAN GENERAL HOSPITAL ON DECEMBER 31, 1990 AT THE AGE OF 71 YEARS.
CLIFF IS SURVIVED BY TWO BROTHERS ARTHUR AND EDNA AND TOM AND VERA, ALL OF STAVELY, A SISTER THELMA (KEN) BRENNAN OF CALGARY AND NUMEROUS NIECES AND NEPHEWS.
HE WAS PREDECEASED BY TWO SISTERS – MYRTLE AND ETHEL, TWO BROTHERS – BERT AND RAYMOND, HIS FATHER JONAS AND HIS MOTHER BERTHA.
CLIFF WAS BORN AT CARMANGAY, AB ON OCTOBER 21, 1919, THE SON OF JONAS AND BERTHA ESKELAND. CLIFF WORKED AT THE ALBERTA SUGAR FACTORY, MOSTLY DURING THE HARVEST SEASON. HE ALSO WORKED FOR HIS NEPHEW IN STAVELY AND FOR A SHORT TIME, LIVED AND WORKED WITH HIS BROTHER GLEN AND ETHEL. HE WOULD RETURN TO LOMOND WHERE HE CALLED HOME FOR THE PAST THIRTY YEARS. HE ENJOYED FAMILY GET TOGETHERS AND TIME WITH HIS NIECES, NEPHEWS AND THEIR FAMILIES. CLIFF ENJOYED FISHING WHENEVER HE GOT THE CHANCE.
FUNERAL SERVICE THURSDAY, JANUARY 4, 1991 AT 2 PM AT VULCAN UNITED CHURCH WITH REV. BEVERLY HILL OFFICIATING. INTERMENT CARMANGAY CEMETERY.
