It is with great sadness that the family of Phyllis Williams of Arrowwood announce her peaceful passing at the Vulcan Community Health Centre on January 29, 2016 at the age of 94 years.

Phyllis married Bert Williams on March 30, 1946 and it was here where they farmed and raised their children. They spent many great times at Lake McGregor and the Highwood River, camping, fishing and enjoying time together as a family.
Phyllis was active in the United Church and later in her life, took up golf. In 2008, she moved into the Peter Dawson Lodge in Vulcan and in 2011 became a resident of Long Term Care in the Vulcan Hospital.
Phyllis is survived by her son Floyd (Bernie) and their children Denise and Shelley, daughter Karen (Bob) Beddow, son Glen (Susan) and their children Kyla (Jared) Smith and Wesley. She is also survived by her great grandchildren Hannah, Garnet and Ryder.
She was predeceased by her parents Wayne and Hannah Cochrane, husband Bert and brothers Allen and Keith Cochrane.
Family Graveside service will take place at the Arrowwood Cemetery.

I am so sad to hear of the passing of Phyllis. I have good memories of myself, my Dad Cliff McLeod and my two children visiting her on the farm. She was a kind, lovely lady and will be greatly missed. Thinking of you all at this time of great sorrow.
Love,
Cathy Cook (McLeod)
Thank you so much for notifying me. Many memories. I met her when my parents, Harry (Agnes’ son) and Belle Lundgren along with my sister Bonnie and I went to Arrowwood and then to the Stampede. We exchanged many letters studying genealogy and I am so pleased that you were able to bring her to the Wales Centennial. I was always impressed that rather than “hoard” some items, she sent them on to the area they derived from. As she requested, I researched and placed in an appropriate place whether it be the local museum or archives of the Methodist church.
Our sympathy and prayers for you all.
it is always so sad when parents leave us, but her quality of life the last while hasn’t been great, so now she is in a better place. Our sympathies to all of you.
Hugs Ralph and Linda and all of our family.
