TEASDALE, HILDA KRISTINA, PASSED AWAY OCTOBER 23, 1991 AT THE TABER AND DISTRICT HEALTH CARE COMPLEX AT THE AGE OF 71 YEARS.
HILDA WAS BORN NEAR LOMOND, ALBERTA DECEMBER 18, 1919 WHERE SHE ATTENDED SCHOOL. SHE WAS VERY ACTIVE IN THE COMMUNITY. SHE MARRIED RICHARD “DICK” TEASDALE DECEMBER 30, 1940, AND HAVE CONTINUED TO FARM IN THE COMMUNITY SINCE. SHE DROVE GRAIN TRUCK AND SCHOOL BUS FOR MANY YEARS. SHE WAS THE COOK AT THE VILLAGE INN FOR SIX YEARS.
IN 1946 WAS THE BEGINNING OF THE BIRTHDAY CLUB, HILDA WAS THE FIRST PRESIDENT AND ON THE FORTIETH ANNIVERSARY IN 1986 SHE WAS PRESENTED A GAVEL IN COMMEMORATION OF BEING THE FIRST PRESIDENT.
SHE ENJOYED CURLING AND SERVED AS SECRETARY/TREASURER OF THE LOMOND CURLING CLUB FOR MANY YEARS. SHE WAS ALSO A MEMBER OF THE SUNSHINE DROP-IN CENTRE AND WAS A GREAT SUPPORTER OF THE LOMOND DUSTER’S FAST BALL TEAM.
HILDA LOVED HER FAMILY, ESPECIALLY HER GRANDCHILDREN. SHE WOULD ALWAYS HAVE A CANDY TO SHARE WITH THEM. SHE ENJOYED PLAYING CRIB AND MANY OTHER CARD GAMES.
BELOVED WIFE OF MR. RICHARD “DICK” TEASDALE OF LOMOND AND LOVING MOTHER OF A SON JIM AND HIS WIFE DONNA OF MEDICINE HAT, THREE DAUGHTERS AND THEIR HUSBANDS – TERRY AND NORMAN STOKES, DENISE AND IAN MCCALLUM, ALL OF LOMOND, JOAN AND GLEN HART OF TABER, THREE BROTHERS HENRY AND PHYLLIS HUFF OF LOMOND, FRED AND DORIS HUFF OF MAGNA, UTAH, ART AND PEGGY HUFF OF HOADLEY, AB, TWO SISTERS ALMA HAALAND OF HIGH RIVER AND NORMA HONESS OF LETHBRIDGE, A SISTER-IN-LAW VIOLET HUFF OF RED DEER, TWELVE GRANDCHILDREN TREVOR, TRACY, DEANNA, CRAIG, DALE, WADE, DAWN, JAMI, CARLA, DEREK, DANIELLE AND DENNIS, A GREAT GRANDSON CODY, NUMEROUS NIECES AND NEPHEWS.
HILDA WAS PREDECEASED BY HER PARENTS AUGUST AND LINA HUFF, A BROTHER LEONARD AND A DAUGHTER LORETTA GERHAN.
FUNERAL SERVICE MONDAY, OCTOBER 28, 1991 AT 2:00 P.M. AT BETHANY LUTHERAN CHURCH, LOMOND WITH PASTOR LEWIS BOOTH OFFICIATING. INTERMENT IN THE FAMILY PLOT, LOMOND CEMETERY.
