DOYLE, GEORGE ARNOLD, PASSED AWAY AT THE ACADIA LODGE, HANNA, ALBERTA AUGUST 11, 1992 AT THE AGE OF 63 YEARS.
GEORGE WAS BORN AT CHAMPION, ALBERTA MARCH 11, 1929 WHERE HE ATTENDED SCHOOL AND WAS A MEMBER OF THE CUBS SCOUT’S OF CANADA AND CALGARY HIGHLANDER ARMY CADET CORP. DURING THE SECOND WAR HE SERVED WITH THE CANADIAN ARMY IN ENGLAND, AND RETURNED TO CHAMPION THEN MOVED TO QUEBEC FOR A FEW YEARS. HE THEN RETURNED TO CHAMPION AND WORKED FOR FARMERS AND CONSTRUCTION, MOSTLY ELEVATOR ANNEXES MOVING FROM PLACE TO PLACE. IN THE EARLY 80’S, HE RESIDED IN YOUNGSTOWN, OYEN AND HAS RESIDED IN HANNA FOR THE PAST FIVE YEARS.
GEORGE ENJOYED READING WESTERN STORIES AND WATCHING COMEDY SHOWS ON TV.
HE IS SURVIVED BY A SISTER ROSE RICHARDSON OF ALIX, ALBERTA, THREE NIECES SHARON NIELSEN AND HER CHILDREN SHELDON, STEPHANIE AND CORDELL, ALL OF RED DEER, LYNDA (NEAL) FORSYTH AND THEIR DAUGHTER SERENA OF TOMSLAKE, B.C., AND GLORIA (BOB ROWLAND) YEATMAN, HIS SONS SHANE AND SCOTT OF ROYSTON, B.C. A NEPHEW JOHN (VAL) RICHARDSON, HIS SON DAN AND DAUGHTER ANGELA (IVAN) SCHOU AND THEIR DAUGHTER JESSICA OF BASHAW AND MANY AUNTS AND UNCLES.
GEORGE WAS PREDECEASED BY HIS FATHER JOHN IN JANUARY 1959, HIS MOTHER ELIZABETH IN AUGUST 1991, THREE BROTHERS PAT IN DECEMBER 1959, TOMMY IN SEPTEMBER 1987 AND BOB IN JANUARY I990.
FUNERAL SERVICE SATURDAY, AUGUST 15 AT 1:00 P.M. AT CHAMPION UNITED CHURCH WITH FRANK JOHNSON OFFICIATING. INTERMENT CHAMPION CEMETERY.
