Moore, William Robert “Billy”, passed away peacefully in Lethbridge on May 2, 1992 at the age of 61 years.

Beloved husband of Marcella Moore. Besides his loving wife, Billy is survived by his four sons, Russell of Carmangay, Pat (Linda) Moore of Carmangay, Gerry (Karen) Moore of Lethbridge, and Mark (Denise) of Carmangay, his mother Marguerite (Mickey) Moore of Carmangay and one sister Marge Moore of Calgary. He is also survived by six grandchildren Tami, Angela, Stacey, Ryan and Chad, and several other relatives.

He was predeceased by his loving brother Kenneth and father Robert (Bud) Lyman.

He was born and raised in Carmangay and farmed with his father Bud for many years until his dad became ill in 1973. He then farmed on his own eith the help of his sons until semi-retiring in 1987. In 1988, he began to work for the Village of Carmangay and also worked part-time at the Little Bow Auxiliary Hospital until his passing.

Bill loved to curl during the winter months and was President and Caretaker for the Carmangay Curling Club for many years. He was also a past member of the Lions Club and the Volunteer Fire Department.

Bill was known throughout his life for his willingness to help anyone in need. He always thought of others before himself. Billy will be sadly missed by his family, relatives and many, many friends.

Friends are invited to meet Tuesday, May 5th at 7 pm at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Champion, Alberta for Prayers. A Funeral Mass will also be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church on May 6th, 1992 at 10:30 am, Father Hudson DeLisle Celebrant. Interment will follow at the Carmangay Cemetery.

At Billy’s request, in lieu of flowers, those who wish to make donations, may do so to the Alberta Cancer Foundation, c/o Tom Baker Cancer Centre, 1331 – 29 St. NW, Calgary, Alberta T2N 9Z9.

    Marcella just read Billy’s obituary and wanted to let you know I have been thinking about you the last while. We are probably the only two left from our gang at school. I am presently living in

    Winnipeg where my husband and I are close to our daughter and grandsons. Hope this message gets to you.
