GRAHAM, VINALD EDWARD PASSED AWAY SUDDENLY AT THE BLUE SKY LODGE, LETHBRIDGE, ALBERTA AUGUST 5, 1995 AT THE AGE OF 85 YEARS.
VINALD WAS BORN JANUARY 10, 1910 IN WISCONSIN, ILLINOIS. IN 1918 HE CAME WITH HIS FATHER AMADA AND MOTHER ROZELLA GRAHAM TO FARM IN THE ARMADA DISTRICT. VINALD WORKED ON THE CONSTRUCTION OF VULCAN AIRPORT DURING THE WAR YEARS. FOLLOWING THE PASSING OF HIS FATHER, VINALD RETURNED TO OPERATE THE FAMILY FARM AND CARE FOR HIS MOTHER. HE SOLD THE FARM AND MOVED INTO LOMOND AND LATER TO VULCAN. HE WAS A HANDY MAN TO MANY PEOPLE AND HE ALSO RAN THE NORTH MAIL ROUTE AND DID JANITORIAL WORK AT THE LOCAL POST OFFICE FOR MANY YEARS. HE RETIRED TO THE COALDALE LODGE AND IN 1987 HE MOVED TO THE BLUE SKY LODGE IN LETHBRIDGE WERE HE HAS RESIDED SINCE.
VINALD IS SURVIVED BY HIS COUSINS JIM (BETTY) CONNOLLY OF KELOWNA, JEAN (LYALL) CONNOLLY GRAHAM OF VULCAN AND HER CHILDREN JANET (DOUG) CLARKE, SUSAN GILBERT, JIM (JEAN), JACK, BOB (GALE), DENNIS (BRENDA)AND LARRY CONNOLLY AS WELL AS OTHER COUSINS IN WISCONSIN.
HE WAS PREDECEASED BY HIS FATHER AMADA AND MOTHER ROZELLA.
A GRAVESIDE SERVICE WILL BE HELD THURSDAY AUGUST 10, 1995 AT 2 P.M. AT THE HIGH WOOD CEMETERY, HIGH RIVER, ALBERTA WITH PASTOR DOUG BARRIE OFFICIATING.
