Mrs. Dorothy Bexte (nee Lemley), formerly of Vulcan, Alberta, passed away in Claresholm, Alberta on February 1, 2015 after a long battle with multiple illnesses.
Dorothy was born in Nanton, Alberta on April 1, 1939 and grew up in High River, Alberta. She was married to Adolf Bexte who passed away March 16, 2013.
Dorothy enjoyed camping, gardening, bingo and cards. She loved having her family around her and will be greatly missed by all!
She is survived by her 3 daughters, Cindy (Dave Bruce) Haslam, Holly (Roger) Rush, and Lynn (Stewart) Surman and son Joseph (Kathy) Bexte. Dorothy is also survived by a brother Wayne, 2 sisters Phyllis and Sharon, sister-in-law Pat, three generations of grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers Ken, Morris and Howard, sisters Marie and Jean, brothers-in-law John and Dale, sisters-in-law Joyce and Jean and son-in -law Roy.
Celebration of life will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2015 at 1:30 pm at the Arrowwood Community Hall in Arrowwood, Alberta with inurnment in Arrowwood Cemetery to follow.
Tributes in Dorothy’s name can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association (Box 26331, STN BRM B, Toronto, ON M7Y 4R1) or Claresholm General Hospital (221 – 43 Ave., Claresholm, AB T0L 0T0).
