PHYLLIS MARION NELSON, FORMERLY OF MILO, ALBERTA PASSED AWAY PEACEFULLY MAY 7, 1997 AT VULCAN, ALBERTA AT THE AGE OF 72 YEARS.
PHYLLIS WAS BORN DECEMBER 14, 1924 AT KINCAID, SASKATCHEWAN. FOLLOWING HER HIGH SCHOOL YEARS, SHE ATTENDED THREE YEARS OF NORMAL SCHOOL TO BEGIN HER TEACHING CAREER FIRST AT CARLYLE, QUEENSTOWN. IT WAS WHILE SHE WAS TEACHING THERE SHE MET AND MARRIED GEORGE OLIVER NELSON. SHE THEN TAUGHT AT MILO.
PHYLLIS IS SURVIVED BY A DAUGHTER NAN (GARY) ROBERTSON OF FAIRVIEW, TWO SONS TOM AND BETTY AND ROSS ALL OF MILO, SIX GRANDCHILDREN DENA, DENVER, DAVIN, LYLE, MARY AND WILLY, A BROTHER TED (SHIRLEY) HALL, A SISTER META WHITE, NUMEROUS NIECES AND NEPHEWS.
PHYLLIS WAS PREDECEASED BY HER HUSBAND GEORGE IN 1986, A GRANDSON JOSEPH IN 1985, HER FATHER JOSEPH HALL, MOTHER RETA HALL (nee: LAURIE) AND A BROTHER-IN-LAW DEL WHITE.
FUNERAL SERVICE SATURDAY MAY 10, 1997 AT 1 P.M. AT MILO COMMUNITY HALL WITH DON HOLMES L.M. OFFICIATING.
INTERMENT HOPE LUTHERAN CEMETERY, MILO.
CASKET BEARERS WERE WADE NELSON, DALE COTE, BILL LAHD, LAWRENCE WHITE, LES McINTYRE AND JEFF CAMPBELL.
