Gordon Walker Ingraham of Arrowwood, Alberta passed away suddenly at the Foothills Medical Centre Calgary on April 25, 2005 at the age of 70 years.
Gordon was born November 17, 1934 at Arrowwood, Alberta, the second son of Boyden and Helen Ingraham. He attended school in Arrowwood and completed his high school at Mount Royal College in Calgary. He returned to Arrowwood to farm with his father and brother Alan. In 1959 Gordon obtained his pilots license.
In July of 1968 Gordon married Rosemary Moss in Calgary and they continued to farm until his death. Gordon also worked in the oil and gas industry for thirty years. In between all of his work Gordon found time to be involved in the community as a member of the United Church, Masonic Lodge #36, Arrowwood Lions Club and the Community Hall Board. He believed that if a community was to survive, you must be involved in it.
Beloved husband of Rosemary Ingraham of Arrowwood, loving father of two sons Richard and Stacey of Calgary and Eric and Brenda of Arrowwood and proud “Papa” to three grandchildren Mya and Blake Ingraham of Arrowwood and Ethan Ingraham of Calgary, a brother Alan Ingraham of Arrowwood , a sister Margaret and Rick Lomheim of Sherwood Park, Alberta, mother-in-law Mrs. Mary Moss of Cross Creek, N.B, two sisters-in-law Marie and Hall Hoffman of Lethbridge, Betty and John MacGillivary of Stanley N.B, a brother-in-law Bill and Donna Moss of Cross Creek, N.B, numerous nieces and nephews across Canada and numerous cousins in Canada and U.S.A. as well as many friends.
Gordon was predeceased by his parents and father-in-law Robert Moss.
Funeral service Monday, May 2, 2005 at 11 a.m. at the Arrowwood Community Hall with Rev. Lee Spice officiating.
Internment Arrowwood Cemetery.
