It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Gord on October 8, 2008 after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 56 years.
He was predeceased by daughter Christy, mother Charlotte, father William “Bill”, sister Marjorie Robinson, father-in-law John Carlson, brother-in-law Richard Carlson.
Left to cherish his memory his wife of 35 years Edna, children Stacey (Craig) Stokes, Jeffery, Stephen, Michael, Lindsay, grandchildren Brayden and Riley Stokes, brothers Rick (Marlene), George, Lloyd (Sandi), David (Laura), mother-in-law Nancy Carlson, sisters-in-law Susan (David) McKay, Janet (Daryn) Magdall; brothers-in-law Peter (Darlene) Carlson, Arnie Robinson as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
We would like to thank everyone for their prayers. Gord will be dearly missed and always in our hears.
Funeral Service Friday, October 17, 2008 at 1:30 pm at Vulcan Cultural Recreation Centre, 504 – 4 Street South, with Sue MacDonald officiating.
