Hazel Marie Lundberg, formerly of Champion, passed away at Vulcan Community Health Centre April 21, 2008 at the age of 91 years.
Hazel Lundberg was born June 25, 1916 at Carmangay, Alberta to Ernest and Emma Nowlin. She was the second youngest of eight children.
Hazel was a member of the Easter Star and was presented with her 50 year jewel from Ferrodale Chapter #65 O.E.S. in 1998.
Loving mother of a daughter Diane (Dale) Groves, a son Al (Dawn) Lundberg all of Champion, daughter-in-law Gloria Lundberg of High River, eight grandchildren Kathy (Chad) Perley, Brenda (Eric) Delude, Jeff (Chris) Groves all of Champion, Alana Lundberg of Fairview, Bernie (Lindsay Monaghan) Lundberg of Fort St. John, Carla (Rich Yee) Lundberg of Calgary, Stacie (Jason) Smith of Calgary, Heather Lundberg of High River, eight great grandchildren Mackenzie, Nolan, Tyler, Brody, Connor, Dylan, Nyla and Evan, a sister Barbra Ostro of Cecil Lake, BC and numerous nieces and nephews.
Hazel was predeceased by her husband Ed in 1978, her son Gerald in 2005, two brothers Ray Nowlin, Ernie Nowlin, and four sisters Maude Lemke, Dorothy Stange, Leah Mooney, Ella Burwash and her parents.
Funeral service was held Thursday April 24, 2008 at 3:30 p.m. at Champion Congregational Church with pastor Amber MacDonald officiating.
Interment Champion Cemetery.
