Arnold Clarence “Arnie” Robinson of Champion, Alberta passed away following a courageous battle with cancer January 18, 2011 at the age of 62 years.

Arnie was born April 9, 1948 at Medicine Hat, Alberta to Clarence and Alice Robinson. He attended school at Etzikom. He met and married Marjorie Nolan in September 1969. He returned to school and graduated as a heavy duty mechanic from Lethbridge Community Collage in 1988.

Arnie worked with Alberta Wheat Pool, CPRail, Alberta Transportation and Roads and his most recent job was with the County of Vulcan operating a road grader. Arnie had the ability to operate anything with wheels or tracks on it.

He was easy going and happy and was willing to help anyone who asked. He enjoyed spending time with his family, the company of many friends and spoiling his grandchildren.

Arnie is survived by his companion Marion Sletto, his daughter Tracy (Allan) Karambowich of Vulcan their children Ethan and Alicia, a son Jim (Angela) Robinson of Calgary his children Tyra and Mya, parents Clarence and Alice of Medicine Hat, two brothers Brian (Christine) Robinson and Terry (Pauline) Robinson, three sisters Elaine (Ian) Hill, Edith (Ken) Eby and Brenda (Emil) Heitrich, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will be gathering at the Vulcan Cemetery Columbarium to place Arnie with Marj at a later date.
