SOMMERS, Loreen Beryl 1947 – 2017

Loreen passed away at the Vulcan Health Care Centre on August 27, 2017 at the age of 69 years. Loreen chose Medical Assistance In Dying.

Loreen enjoyed renovating and updating the farm house with Dave (Myrna, Loreen and Dave, along with Linda and Gordy did what they could to improve the old farmstead and stave off the plagues and ravages of time), gardening, traveling with Dave, watching the birds and the peace and quiet of country living.

Loreen has joined family gone before; Great-Grandparents Peter and Sarah Sommers, Grandparents Orrie and Carrie Sommers, Aunt Irene and Uncle Wilson Cool, Uncle Don Sommers, Step-Father George Lawrence.

Loreen is survived by her life partner of 10 years, David Daisley….”We did not have enough time together”, two amazing children; son Davin (Lisa) Skeen, Miyah, Cale, Conrad and daughter Dana (Cody) McGregor, Seth, Mary, her Mother Myrna Lawrence, sisters Marjorie Bauer, Joanne (Norm) Leggatt and Bonnie Lawrence. Loreen is fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her soul-mate cousin Linda Cool (Gordon Pye).

Loreen would really appreciate it if you would plant a tree in her name as a tribute.

There will be no public service by Loreen’s request.

Sincere condolences from David’s cousins in Rocky Mountain House. We were so happy that Dave met and loved Loreen. No amount of time is ever enough when you find true love. May God wipe away all tears and may wonderful memories sustain you, David Daisley and all the family and you, her lovely sister Marjorie and all who loved Loreen. We will plant a tree in her memory.
