LEBSACK, Nora      1924 – 2015

Lebsack, Nora of Strathmore (formerly of Vulcan), passed away at the Strathmore General Hospital on April 19, 2015 at the age of 91 years.

Nora was born Jan. 17,1924 and grew up on the family farm south of Carbon, Alberta. She met and married the love of her life, David Lebsack in 1944 in Champion, Alberta. They resided on the family farm east of Champion until moving to Vulcan in 1957. After the move, Nora worked for Alberta Agriculture as a stenographer until her retirement in 1989. Through work she met and made many friendships which she tried to maintain throughout her life. She was a 30+ year member of the Royal Purple.

Nora is survived by her son Steven (Mona) Lebsack, daughter Loretta Permann, daughter-in-law Norma Lebsack, 8 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren, two sisters-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her son Russell in 1947, husband David in 1970, son Dale in 2010 and son-in-law Robert in 2011.

Graveside Service will be held Friday, April 24, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Champion Cemetery, Sue MacDonald, D.M. officiating. Luncheon to follow at the Champion Evangelical Free Church.

    I’m sorry to hear of Aunt Nora’s passing. I will not be able to attend on Friday but will be thinking of you. She was a special aunt -always had a smile and a hug.She was a doer and a goer. Please accept our sincere sympathies.
