In April, 1951 he met Audrey and they were married December 2, 1951. They had four daughters and one son. One of his goals in life was to make sure all his children received post-secondary education which they all did.

Barry loved spending time with his family, farming, repairing machinery, gardening and being outdoors. His wife, Audrey, was the love of his life and together they raised their family, farmed and gardened on a farm 2 1/2 miles from Vulcan. Barry was an amateur horticulturist and was known for grafting the apple, apricot, saskatoon and plum trees in their small orchard. Barry loved helping people and was always willing to help others. Barry and Audrey recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. For the last few years, Audrey’s role changed and she became his caregiver, providing him with loving support.

There will be a private service for immediate family.
