Fulton, Victor “Vic” Alvin, of Vulcan, beloved husband of Gladys, passed away peacefully with his family at his side, at the Vulcan Extendicare on September 4, 2016 at the age of 90 years.
Vic was born in Vulcan on May 24, 1926, the eldest son of Alvin and Lorraina Fulton. He took all of his schooling at the Old Red Cross School and Vulcan. After school, he worked for many local farmers in order to save enough money for his first car, but always making sure the work was done at home first!
Vic married Gladys Buehler from Champion on March 7, 1947 and together they raised a daughter Laura. Vic and Gladys’ pride and joy was their daughter and their two grandchildren – Trevor and Dallas, where they often found themselves turning down very important engagements just so they could babysit the grandchildren! Vic and Gladys loved to spend their winters in Arizona. They also enjoyed camping, card parties and getting together with neighbors and friends. Vic was a member of the Vulcan Elks Lodge, Vulcan Legion and Samaritan Odd Fellows.
Vic, along with son-in-law Gary, farmed together for many years before Vic and Gladys retired to Vulcan in 1998. In 2014, Vic moved to Vulcan Extendicare where he has resided until his passing.
Besides his loving wife Gladys, Vic is survived by his daughter Laura (Gary) Clarke of Vulcan, grandsons Trevor (Trish) Clarke of Medicine Hat and their daughter Hayes, Dallas (Toby) Clarke of Vulcan and their daughters Keeley and Cassidy, brother Owen Fulton, sister-in-law Helen Fulton, brothers-in-law Henry (Marge) Buehler, Norm (Eileen) Buehler and sister-in-law Irene (Albert) Graham and numerous nieces and nephews. Vic was predeceased by his parents Alvin and Lorraina Fulton, brother Wesley Fulton and sister-in-law Darlene Fulton.
Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, September 9, 2016 at 1:30 pm at the Vulcan United Church, Sue MacDonald, D.M. officiating. Inurnment Vulcan Cemetery Columbarium.
