Judy was born on November 13, 1946 in Lethbridge, Alberta to Alfred and Bernice Fleetwood of Champion, Alberta. She passed away at Vulcan, Alberta on October 20, 2018 at the age of 71 after a brief illness.

Judy is survived by her children Catherine (Doyle) Dubois of Strathmore, Alberta; Ryan (Brandy) Smith of Champion, Alberta and granddaughter Brianna Dubois of Red Deer, Alberta.
She was pre-deceased by her father Alfred in 1993 and her mother Bernice in 2011.

Judy was raised on the Fleetwood place located east of Champion bordering the Travers Reservoir. She attended school in Champion and graduated from Vulcan County High School. After graduating Judy attended Lethbridge Community College. She lived and worked secretarial jobs in several locations including Calgary Co-operative Association and the Lethbridge Regional Jail before moving back to Champion in 1975. Judy travelled quite extensively during her time as a Travel Agent with Vulcan Travel. Her parents moved into the town of Champion in 1986 and Judy settled back on the farm in 1990. Once back on the farm her life long love of horses became her main focus and passion. She also was heavily involved with the Champion Roping and Riding Club in Champion and led the 4-H Horse Club for many years, along with being involved in various community clubs and associations. She was the current president of the Champion Cemetery Maintenance Association.

Judy formed many close friendships over the years and will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her, both near and far. Her family is very grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers and support received during this extremely difficult time.

Celebration of Life Service Friday, October 26, 2018 at 1:00 pm at the Champion Community Hall with Sue Macdonald D.M. officiating.
